1890 Farmhouse

LOCATION: Woodstock, Vermont
CLIENT: Billings Farm and Museum
BUDGET: $1.1M
STATUS: Completed 1987

Restoration of the 1890's Farm House involved an exacting interior and exterior restoration of the Farm Manager’s house and dairy. The house is on the National Historic Register and is part of the public exhibits at the Museum. Our work included extensive investigation and documentation before start of design. Modern systems and amenities were carefully chosen and detailed to minimize their impact on the historic fabric of the Farm House. The restoration included site landscaping, furnishings and interiors.

The project received a National Merit of Award from the American Association of State and Local History and an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Preservation Trust of Vermont.
