MIDDLEBURY CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH

The Congregational Church in Middlebury is 400 members strong with a stated commitment to peace, love, and justice.  They are an open and affirming organization whose doors are open to all.

The chapel-like addition fully reflects that mission with an inviting porch and oversized round-top window that amplifies the graceful muntin work of the original 1809 Federal Style Church.  The 2016 addition and renovations created new accessible entrances on both sides of the two-story addition that serve the community on a daily basis in addition to providing access to the main Sanctuary.

The project, completed in 2016, included the restoration of the historic stone steps and original entry of the iconic structure, new administrative, classrooms, daycare, youth program space, a healing garden, and renovations to Fellowship Hall for improved community meal programs.
