GREEN MOUNTAIN POWER HEADQUARTERS

This comprehensive renovation project converted acres of dismal garage, warehouse and shop space into an open, light-filled interior landscape that supports workspace for 200 in an initiative that consolidated seven departments at Green Mountain Power and created a high-tech Operations Control Center.

Notable programming direction from then CEO, Mary Powell, included the wholesale demolition of executive offices in favor of a more egalitarian distribution of workspace.

Full-time administrative staff, herself included, were all allocated similar desk configurations and a similar standard was established for field techs and Call Center personnel.  As a result, the best and brightest spaces were available to all employees to enjoy daily.
